As a birthday present my wife Chris kindly bought me a place on a three-day course building a coracle (a traditional portable boat) at the Green Wood Centre, Coalbrookdale, Shropshire. This page shows the construction process and the fun I had trying the new boat out on the river Severn near Ironbridge on the following August Bank Holiday.
