Ingo's Second Birthday
It was Ingo`s second birthday on 22nd February 2002.
He was given lots of lovely presents including an abacus and
a toolbox, bubble-bath, puzzles, play-dough and videos and books!
That day his mum and dad took the day off work to play with
him and take him out on an adventure.
They rushed to Warwick Parkway station in the morning, after breakfast and
opening cards and presents, but when they got there the trains
had been cancelled because of glare on the signals and they had to go on
a coach, which made Chris feel sick and took almost an hour longer than
the train would have done.
At last Ingo arrived at the National Sealife Centre in Birmingham. We
saw lots of fish, big and small, rays and sea horses and frogs
and other watery things. There was an Otter Centre being built
there but it was not finished yet. The staff gave us free tickets
to come back to see it after Easter, when it is ready. Ingo enjoyed
running up and down the ramps and sat on a motorised fish.
We looked at the statues in Birmingham on the way to and from the station,
and thankfully there was a train back in the end, which was much better
than the bus. We met our neighbour Sue on the train and had food and more
presents when we got home.
Thanks to everyone for the cards and presents!
The last picture shows Ingo smiling after unwrapping his abacus
in bed on the birthday morning.
