Ingo's 2004 gallery
This is a collection of pictures taken when Ingo was four. Expect more, and some improvements to the formatting. So much to do, so little time... at least this brings some more recent photos onto this site.
Train day
Ingo took his friend Alisha, who he met at The Ceedlings nursery, to see Thomas the Tank Engine and friends on the Severn Valley Railway in May 2004. By this time Ingo had started at pre-school in Emscote but we stayed in touch with Alisha, her sister Anita, and her parents whose interests in broadcasting and arabic dance overlap with obsessions of Ingo's parents (no prizes for guessing which and what).

Despite - or perhaps because of - the lack of depth in Rev. Audry's island world where steam trains aspire to be 'really useful', Ingo's a big fan of the books and their later adaption to TV, and points out numerous inconsistencies in the early books, without being put off in the slightest. We have a hefty collection of original stories in the slim Ladybird book format, and later annuals illustrated with pictures from the TV remake. A touring show tacks cartoon faces onto real steam engines, and Ingo was thrilled to see this.
The first picture shows Chris with Alisha and Ingo on the platform next to Thomas the Tank Engine. In the next Ingo is waiting for Percy another of the 'really useful' steam engines, to deal with a troublesome truck. Then there's a picture of Ingo and Alisha waving their promotional flags in front of Terrence the Tractor.
King of the castle
We are family members of HDRA and often visit their organic gardens at Ryton near Coventry. These two pictures show Ingo on top of a mound in the gardens which he likes to climb to the top of.

Chris, Ingo, cousin Miles and uncle Guy at grandma's house in Hereford, Xmas 2004. Perkins the dog is on Judy's lap. Chris was clearly well stuffed at this point.
